Sodena is the financial support instrument of the Government of Navarra for attracting and developing business projects with added value for the region, also collaborating in its Smart Specialisation Strategy.

Sodena is a limited company, owned by its sole shareholder CPEN, Corporación Pública Empresarial de Navarra.

We have a Responsible Investment Policy and a Sustainability Strategy by which we commit to explicitly integrate ESG factors throughout the investment process and in our daily operations, aligned with best practices and with 6 SDGs considered as priorities by Sodena.

Iñaki Larraya Garayalde

He joined Sodena in January 2024 as Managing Director.

He has dedicated his professional career to the financial sector for more than 33 years, through Banco Guipuzcoano (currently Banco Sabadell). He was branch manager in Pamplona and Estella for 13 years, real estate business manager for nine years and company manager for three years. He has also served as regional commercial manager for Navarre, La Rioja and Álava for the last two years.

Montse Guerrero Pérez

Deputy director of sustainability and circular economy

Agricultural engineer and agricultural technician specialized in agri-food industries. MBA in Innovation, Business and Circular Economy (University of Bradford, United Kingdom)

She joined Sodena in February 2024 as Deputy Director of Sustainability and Circular Economy.

She has developed her professional career in the field of eco-innovation, sustainable development, and circular economy, with a focus on business and organizational management, working in both the public and private sectors.

She has also managed European projects and provided circular economy consulting services for all types of entities.

At the European level, since 2017, she has served as Vice President of the Circular Economy Thematic Group of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a European support network for SMEs. Notably, in 2020 she acted as a sustainability expert for the European Commission, contributing to the definition of the sustainability service included in the European SME Strategy.

In the private sector, she has worked on strategic analysis for developing diagnostics, proposing roadmaps towards sustainability and circular economy, and implementing related actions for various organizations.

Guillermo Alonso Orbea

Industrial engineer specialized in electronics, electricity, and automation (university of navarra, tecnun) and mba (university of deusto)

He joined Sodena in September 2022 as Director of Invest in Navarra, the department responsible for attracting foreign investment.

He developed his professional career within the multinational group GKN, where he held several senior positions, including: General Manager of GKN Driveline Carcastillo; After-Sales Commercial Director for Spain and Portugal at GKN Driveline Barcelona; Director of “GKN Remanufacturing” for Spain and France; European Operations Director for Aftermarket, Niches & Motorsport, based at the GKN Minworth plant (UK); and Global Operational Director for the Aftermarket division across the US and Europe.

Juan Cristobal García

DIRECTOR of regional strategy

Industrial Engineer (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and graduate of the General Management Program (PdG) at IESE Business School.

He joined Sodena in December 2024 as Head of the Regional Strategy area.

Prior to this role, he served as General Manager at TESICNOR, and held positions such as coordinator of the EIP-SCC Market Place Secretariat at ZABALA, as well as Knowledge Area Leader with experience in major European consortium projects. He has also worked as a European proposal evaluator and as an adjunct professor in Innovation Management at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).

Following the reorganization of public companies under the Government of Navarra, he joined Sodena in December 2011 as Director of Investments.

He joined Sodena in June 2018 within the Venture Capital – Value Creation area. Since 2002, he has held various management positions in administration and finance departments across diverse economic sectors (agrifood, tourism, industrial, and financial services), specifically at CAR Belate, S.L., Beigorri, S.L., Brisa Fiscal Business Consulting, and Propitex, S.A. In 2009, he entered the venture capital sector by joining Clave Mayor, S.A., S.G.E.I.C., participating in investment, monitoring, and management committees of portfolio companies.

Amaya Manrique Pérez

Amaya joined Sodena in October 2012. She has over 20 years of experience in foreign direct investment (FDI), gained both as a manager in an agency and as a consultant to multinational companies during their investment processes.

Before joining Sodena, she was Director of the Strategy and Studies Department at PROMOMADRID, the internationalization agency of the Madrid Region, for five years, while also serving as an FDI expert for the World Bank. Prior to that, she worked for over 10 years in Brussels as a consultant in investment location services and regional strategy for investment attraction at DELOITTE and IBM-Plant Location International.

Carlos Sarobe Carricas

In 2000, he transferred to KPMG San Sebastián to manage that office. In early 2003, he took on the role of Financial Director at the Linser Logistics Group.

Beatriz Blasco Felipe

She began her professional career at Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios in Madrid, where she worked for five years as a Project Manager in the IT department. In 2000, she joined CEIN (European Center for Business and Innovation of Navarre) as Coordinator of the Technology and Information division. She later became Director of the Innovation and Technology Department, a position she held from 2005 to 2012. Prior to joining Sodena, she also worked within the same public company as a Business Creation Specialist, advising entrepreneurs on how to establish viable and sustainable companies.

He began his professional career in 2017 as a junior team member in the Logistics Planning and Purchasing Department at Volkswagen Navarra.

After completing an MBA in International Trade with ICEX-CECO, he worked in 2019 as an International Trade Advisor at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Denmark.
In 2020, he joined Sodena as a Project Officer in Investment Attraction.

Daniel Mazo Sáez

Industrial Engineer, specializing in Mechanics (Public University of Navarra)

He has been part of Sodena’s team since December 2015, working in the Regional Strategy Area.

From 2000 to 2002, he worked as a technician in the Mechatronics Department at CEMITEC.

In October 2002, he joined Zabala Innovation Consulting as an Innovation Management Consultant, a role he held for two years. In 2005, he became a Research Technician at the Technology Transfer Office (OTRI) of the Public University of Navarra.

In September 2006, he joined CEIN as a Senior Technician in the Business Development and Growth Area. In 2012, he joined Fundación Moderna as Project Director, responsible for the areas of Entrepreneurship, R&D&I, and Clusters.

Cristina Pascual Morrás

She joined Sodena’s team at the end of 2009.

She began her professional career at ITURRALDE Y SAGÜÉS INGENIEROS (2000–2009), managing various projects and participating in the delegated management of several companies.


During 2008 and 2009, she combined this role with teaching in the Installations Department at the School of Architecture, University of Navarra.

Patricia Sanz Planas

Patricia brings more than 15 years of professional experience in management positions. She has held key roles such as Technical Director and Coordinator of the Natural Gas Pipeline Inspection Team at ICISA (Inspección y Control de Instalaciones, S.A.), as well as Regional Director for the Northern Area and Technical Coordinator at SGS Inspecciones Reglamentarias.

For four years, she has served as Head of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at Viscofan, where she led strategic projects in energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and renewable energies. Her work has helped drive industrial competitiveness and advance the energy transition toward a more sustainable model.

From 2016 until joining Sodena, she worked in administrative and coordination roles within real estate companies.

Between 1999 and 2009, she performed various roles related to tourism and business administration, including customer service at Eurodisney Park, work at the Pamplona Tourist Office, the Association of Rural Hotels of Navarre, the Irigoien Arraz Travel Agency, and administrative duties at Sedena, S.L.

She joined CEIN (European Center for Business and Innovation of Navarre) in the administration of the Entrepreneurship area (technology-based innovative companies, EIBTs), and in 2012 took on executive assistant duties at Fundación Moderna.

Ainhoa Patiño Etxeondo

She joined Sodena’s administration area in August 2007.

Her professional career began in 1993 at Arthur Andersen’s Pamplona office (now Deloitte) as a bilingual secretary.

She later carried out export administrative duties at the Navarrese company Frenelsa and worked as an executive secretary at Nissan Forklift España, S.A. (now Unicarriers).

During the 2003–2007 term, she was part of the office of the Regional Minister of Industry and Technology, Commerce and Labour of the Government of Navarre.
