Start Up Capital Navarra is a Sociedad de Promotion de Empresas (S.P.E) [Enterprise Development Company] promoted by the Government of Navarra and managed by Sodena, in which 23 public and private companies from the financial, industrial, university and business promotion sectors participate.
It funds business projects in the start-up phase that have high growth potential for Navarra. They should be innovative or differentiated projects that can enter new market niches and skilled employment for Navarra.
It offers finance through a participation in the share capital of the company as a minority partner, as well as strategic collaboration to help the company develop in its early phases of life. A participation in the company, over a period of between 3 and 8 years can reach €400,000.
Main characteristics of investment by Start Up Capital Navarra:
Maximum investment of €400,000 and a minimum of €100,000. The maximum could be higher in projects considered strategic, with strong potential for growth, or other features that make them outstanding. Average ticket of €200,000.
The participation of Start Up in a company would be between 5% and 45%.
The participation in the company’s capital is temporary, for a period between 3 and 8 years.
A partners’ agreement will be signed between the promoters, with priority given to a share re-purchase agreement.
Start Up Capital Navarra has its own Board of Directors and Investment Committee.
