Orizont is the new agrifood start-up accelerator of Sodena that seeks to speed up and support innovative projects, from both Spain and abroad. The ultimate aim is to boost the agrifood sector and the business fabric of Navarra.
What is Orizont’s objective? To become a national and international benchmark for the sector. How? Through the acceleration of between 5 and 10 innovative and scalable projects in all agrifood subsectors in their early stages of development with a time to market of less than one year.
Main characteristics of the programme:
Duration: Process of creation and acceleration lasting 6 months in the Agrifood City of Tudela (CAT), with full use of its facilities. Permanence of the activity in Navarra for 2 years, or during Sodena’s participation in its shareholding.
Financial support: Each project will be allocated €110,000:
- €80,000 in the form of a participative loan for all the projects, on an equal basis, that can be capitalized at the end of the acceleration period.
- €20,000 in capital in exchange for a participation by Sodena of 9% of the shareholding.
- €10,000 in consultancy services, at the choice of the entrepreneur.
Consultancy and acceleration process: CEIN (European Centre for Companies and Innovation of Navarra) will undertake the acceleration, training and specialist consultancy programme, working with reference partners to implement it. Thanks to its extensive experience, it will advise each of the 8 start-ups selected on business opportunities, networking, getting into the market, developing a business plan, etc.
Access to a wide range of collaborating companies, specialised mentors, research centres and universities involving more than 50 large companies from the agrifood sector that will support entrepreneurs with technical advice and their knowledge of the market.
